
After more than 10 years in the business as a flyer distribution/printing/special projects account executive representing four major corporations, I came to realize that there were significant needs in our industry that other products were not capitalizing on.
The first need is door-to-door apartment distribution. Because of the size of products and other factors, coverage has not been strong in this area. In most cases, newspapers are left in the lobby of apartment buildings with the hope that tenants pick them up as they enter the building. Our company will hit every single unit in our markets by using Canada Post as a distributor. This remains the only way to have 100 per cent coverage in the majority of apartments and condos.
The second one is better service. FlyerMail will look after our customers by consulting with our advertisers to put together effective flyer campaigns, designing and printing the flyers, distributing them through Canada Post, and now looking after all of their online needs. I noticed a need for one company looking after all of these aspects from start to finish so customers can focus on running their business.
The third is better distribution to houses. This is something that our industry has to get better at. Using the Cadillac distribution system, Canada Post, there is not a better way to ensure that your flyers arrive to the selected destination in a timely and efficient manner while offering targeting second to none.
The final need is for a more effective online presence. After two years in business, we decided that it was time to revamp our website and come up with a model that is consumer-friendly, that meet the needs of our advertisers, and, more specifically, a formula that gets results and is locally-driven. We believe we have created a flyer and coupon site that will lead the way in web marketing in our industry.
